Chris and the band met each other at Worthing bluegrass jam session. They share a love for the same bands, such as Hot Rize, Union Station and The Tony Rice Unit. 

 

They gig around the south coast and have found support from The Brunswick in Hove, where Chris runs a monthly bluegrass jam with the band's mandolin player, Chris Stockel. Eaton also organised the first ever Brighton bluegrass day at The Brunswick in March '25, which Flint County played at, sharing the bill with The Hackney Hillpickers and The Ragged Out String Band. 

 

In 2024, Chris was the only Brit chosen to perform on the international stage at the IBMA World of Bluegrass week in Raleigh, North Carolina. In 2025 Flint County were chosen to perform in Holland at the European World of Bluegrass festival. The band features singers Emma Jane and Astra Grayland, a third Chris plays guitar, Christopher McPhee, and Tom Warner is on bass.

 

Eaton released a solo album in '24; 'D for Dobro', which was the follow up to the compilation album 'The UK & Ireland Dobro Celebration'. Both are available to stream online. 2025 sees Flint County performing at the renowned Didmarton bluegrass festival as well as the new Yellow Moon and King Harvest festivals.
